Current Projects
I'm always working on about a half dozen things.
Free City of Zobeck
I'm running my house campaign in the Open Design default setting, the Free City of Zobeck. It's a fun group and the next couple plot points are falling neatly into line. The party itself is small (three regulars, two irregulars), but they're smart. And the pace of play means I'm always answering player questions and expanding the size of the Zobeck setting.
Crucible of Chaos
This Gamemastery adventure is a pulp-style romp through the ruins of a lost city, and was originally called "The Watcher of Ulduvai". It's more fun than I should be allowed to have, frankly, in an Edgar Rice Burroughs meets Lovecraft kind of way. If only I could draw the non-Euclidean maps properly...
Kobold Quarterly: A tiny little newsletter of Open Design
I'm launching a zine! I realized I have a ton of industry connections, and I should share that with folks. So, working with top-shelf artists and designers (and writing a chunk of it myself), I'm offering design essays, worldbuilding using my own Zobeck setting, features, and interviews with designers and artists in a tiny, quarterly newsletter. The first issue of Kobold Quarterly will be shipped to you in July either as a PDF or (if there's enough subscribers) as a paper newsletter. The paper version depends on a critical mass of subscribers; either way, you get some great material.
Once circulation supports it, I'll accept freelance submissions as well. For now, it's just me and a few industry stalwarts.
